"You're not you when you're hungry"

This Snickers commercial from the 2010 Superbowl has always been one of my favorites. Something about Betty White and her sense of humor strikes me. The intended audience for this commercial could be anyone, there isn't any real limitations. The secondary audience could be chocolate lovers, those who enjoy a sweet snack, or anyone who hungry at the moment. The phrase used with this commercial and most of the other snickers commercials is "You're not you when you're hungry". This plays reference to those who become annoyed, angry, or simply not themselves when hungry. I can honestly say I know what they are talking about, I usually get annoyed if I become to hungry (just ask my husband). The overall purpose of this commercial is to make you want to eat a snickers. It insinuates that if you eat it, you will be as good as new. I believe the commercial is successful. The commercial serves its purpose because most people remember the commercial or at least know the phrase "you're not you when you're hungry".
